The owners of 253heart.com approached us looking for some unique design concepts that integrated the city of Tacoma heavily with the 253 Heart brand- a logo based on their area code designed by a local artist and musician.

We spent a day exploring Tacoma, taking photos of major landmarks throughout the city. Conceptually we envisioned and created an almost Dr. Seuss rendition of the city, simplifying its sprawl into rolling hills that highlighted the Tacoma Dome, the Frisko Freeze, Bob’s Java Jive, and other major visual landmarks. The illustrations were worked into the footer and a repeatable background that could be used on the site itself, as well as social sites.

The resulting site concept highlighted their primary product, a sticker of the 253 heart that is highly recognized and seen throughout the area.
